Latest News from ET

The EPA has released the Part 1 Toxicity Study Regulation - which banned the production and use of many asbestos-containing products in May 2024.  A preliminary Part 2 Study has been published, and due to be finalized by the end of the year - likely with regulations to coincide with the findings.  ***  My opinion on EPA's data - they are using extrapolated data to develop findings and shape new regulations - seems more political than pragmatic.

TDEC News
Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation has established an online avenue for accreditation and will issue accreditation "cards" electronically for your records.  Unfortunately, updates to training regulations have set our accreditation expiration to the date our training expires.  Information from TDEC states the accredited individual shall apply 60 Working Days prior to expiration  - which means refresher training should be taken approximately 3 months before expiration (which means your accreditation next year is also expiration 3 months early - no discount from TDEC).

If you are currently accredited in TN - you should have received an email with details.  Please check training schedules to see changes from our "normal" routine - and don't be afraid to call with questions!
